Our main objectives outlined in the Indusign business plan
in 1990 were directed toward design engineering and
consulting within the heavy equipment machinery and construction
business. Due to excellent references from our customers and especially
their critical feedback we were able to redirect, improve and further
grow the business. We have been cooperating as partners with our
customers from the start.
Because of our success and increasing interest in
our core business (E-Crane), in 1997 we developed
a new master business plan which provided for large capital investments
to improve the quality of our engineering design tools, quality
and reliability of our E-Crane and significant improvements
in marketing and sales management. Today, Indusign has added two
(2) subsidary companies dedicated to providing technical support
and sales management for all E-Crane related activities in
Europe and America.
Today, Indusign offers worldclass material handling
solutions that include more than just a crane. We work closely with
the client to improve his productivity and lower operating cost.
Indusign is responsible for design, production, assembly, testing,
machine erection ..to commissioning.
2. History
1990 : Foundation of the NV Indusign
The foundation of Indusign was planned from a reconstruction
of the Sobemai NV and Sobecon NV at the end of the 80s. Indusign
was able to consolidate the extensive knowledge, experience and
expertise from both companies into the new organization. During the first few years several significant projects
were completed and the equilibrium crane product line was further
developed and refined. Several other well know products developed
during this period give evidence to the quality of Indusign's engineering
(Kennis truck-cranes, PLM mobile harbour cranes,...).
Indusign, young, dynamic and very experienced
1992 - 1993 : Hard times initiate a new start
After the bankruptcy and liquidation of Sobemai NV and Sobecon
NV in early 1992 Indusign needed to re-establish. E-CraneTM manufacturing.
Production was moved to Germany (Kranbau Eberswalde - Berlin). This together with the experience and enthusiasm of
the Indusign team lead to several orders for revision, reconstruction
and upgrading of existing machines in the interior or abroad.
' Never look back, the future's ahead ... never
go in reverse ...'
(Hans d'Ancona, manager NV Indusign)
1994 - 1996 : Slow but certain grow
After the initial years it became apparent how important
it to thoroughly support the delivered products. Driven by a strong
belief in the product, enthusiasm and experience, Indusign completed
several large projects. With this, it also became clear that to meet
the changing demands of our customers, remain flexible and responsive,
that it is necessay to have production, assembly, service, and technical
support next to the engineering department. . New successfully alliances
are now complete and have helped us to realize these
Flexibility, quality and an excellent cooperation
with our customers
help Indusign grow ...
1997 - 2000 : Preparing for the 21st century
The Indusign orgainzation grows but maintains the
strengths of a small, flexible, dynamic. New markets in Europe,
Asia, North and South America are being penetrated ; an international
dealers network is being setup and the E-Crane product line
entirely revised. During this period, Indusign will centralize all
its activities (engineering, production, service and spare parts)
into the new buildings and workshop in Adegem (in the immediate
neighborhood of Eeklo). In the next century Indusign will continue to
pursue excellence together with the cooperation and the feedback
of our customers we will remain the a leader in bulk material
handling.
